Mine’s a similar story. My 80gb is a MA450LL/A a series 5.5 I also bought mine new in 2006. It’s always given sterling service until recently! I use mine in my garage mounted on an Apple iDock. The 3.5 mm output on the iDock connected in turn to a very old Sony amp and speakers. All of a sudden it wouldn’t boot up. Blank screen, no disk running noises. My first thought was battery’s done and ordered a new one. I fitted the replacement which made absolutely no difference. So is my logic board the culprit? Any clues what to look for will be most appreciated thanks.
