Well guys, I’m finally in the new Office (albeit sporadically), but the great news is, we have Cable Broadband. Don’t get me wrong, ADSL has come a long way, and the 8Meg connection I have used for the past few years has been rock solid, however I’m back in a cable area, and it is sweet. I have included a speedtest of my new connection at the end of the post, but downloading binaries from Usenet using Newsleecher and the Newshosting Europe server with 20 threads, I get a solid 2.4MB/S sustained transfer rate (which equates in real terms to about 11GB of files per hour!)
Have downloaded a pile of Linux Distros to play with over the summer which should be sweet to play with.
I’ll post a real post soon…..
